I have been tying my flies since the beginning of my fly-fishing journey, and it’s an aspect of the sport I take very seriously. There really is no end to the skill and know-how one can accumulate in these respects, and I have invested much effort and time into them.
I like to think of flies myself and experiment with new materials and techniques. When I have time, I like to tie semi-realistic flies. Another favourite thing of mine is to tie flies on the river before, during, or after fishing. It helps me to look at insects and the actual situation, and of course, there is no better light than daylight.
I participate as a fly tier in a few fly fishing fairs in Germany, England, Denmark, Finland, Holland, and Bulgaria. I desire to attend and participate in fares and shows all around the globe. In 2015, I participated in the EFFA Open fly tying competition and won 1st prize for the Dry Fly category and second prize for the Nymph category.

Old Flies Gallery
Below are images of flies that I have tied at the beginning of my career. Back then I had a lot of time to experiment and was into semi-realistic fly tying. Nowadays I am much more into tying fishing flies. However, I still like to share those images with you. Many of the new patterns and flies I tie you can find in my webshop.
