Green Bunny Streamer

Here is what I have done the night before, hoping the weather will be fine on the morning so I will have the chance to try my creation.

Materials used:

Hook: Daiichi 2720   5/0

Tread 6/0 -tan

Head:  Yellow tungsten cone head

Clear Cure thick goo

Eyes: spangles

Tail: Green bunny strips

Orange bunny strip

Pearl flash

Body: Green Bunny Strip

Orange bunny strip

Violet bunny strip

Pearl flash

Violet and Black flash

Step 1: Attach the cone head on the hook and then secure the hook on the vice.

Step 2: Tie the tread to the hook shank.

Step 3: Tie a bunch of orange bunny at the end of the hook shank.

Step 4: Tie two green bunny strips 1 1/2 times the length of the hook shank. Tie them along the hook shank so there are no gaps and the materials are on one level.

Step 5: Tie the flash the same way you tied the bunny strips an then cut it by angle so the length of the bands is not equal.

Step 6: Tie the green bunny strip that is going to be used for making the body.

Step 7: Wrap the body to the middle of the hook, then secure it with two turns of tying tread.

Step 8: Tie on some pearl flash.

Step 9: Wrap the green bunny strip 2/3 the length of the hook shank and trim the waste off.

Step 10: Tie a bunch of orange strip on both sides.

Step 11: Attach the violet strip.

Step 12: Wrap the violet strip to the end of the hook shank. Tie it and trim it off.

Step 13: Tie the violet and the black flash on the top of the fly.

Step 14: Stick the spangles with the clear cure.

Step 15: Flash them with the lighter for 30 seconds. Then add some more clear cure goo and form a head.

Step 16: Leave the fly to rest over the night.

…. On the other morning the weather was nice and sunny. I went to the river to give a try to the fly.

And that is what I caught.

Last Step: Release the fish !
